Huawei P20 Lite: Photos and first impressions
Huawei P20 Lite: Our photos and first impressions
Check out photos of the Huawei P20 Lite.
Although you will have to wait until March 27th for it to be officially presented by Huawei, the Huawei P20 Lite is already available for pre-order from several commercial sites. While waiting for our test to be published, we can already make you enjoy our first photos and impressions of this smartphone.
Huawei P20 Lite first impressions:
Having not yet had the opportunity to really use the phone, We will simply discuss its design. As expected, we are dealing with a screen ratio 18: 9 and on the front, we immediately notice the small notch on the top edge that nibbles a piece of the display area.
Another look inspired by the iPhone X. If I’m not a fan of this look, I prefer here everyone to make his opinion on the issue. Note however that the black notch is distinguished even when the screen is off. The illusion is not perfect.
Also, this does not prevent the P20 Lite to compose with a border above the screen, fine enough certainly, but visible – it is the same on the sides, while the bottom band is a little wider. Despite all this, the overall impression remains pleasing to the eye. Handling, meanwhile, is not uncomfortable thanks to properly worked slices.
The glass back is pleasant to the touch, but it gets dirty soon enough (the Huawei P20 Lite comes with a protective shell). Always in the back, there is the fingerprint reader and a double camera (16 and 2 megapixels). Both lenses are vertically aligned while the module protrudes slightly in relief.
At the bottom, near the USB-C connector, the jack is safe and sound. While waiting for a complete test, here is what to remember from the technical sheet:
- 5.84-inch screen, IPS LCD, 18: 9, Full HD
- Kirin 659, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage
- Android 8.0 Oreo, EMUI 8.0
- 16 + 2-megapixel photo sensor
- 3000 mAh battery (fast charge)
The Huawei P20 Lite costs 369 euros (recommended price) but takes advantage of a discount offer of 50 euros until 31 March included.
