Huawei P20: Launch in March after MWC
Huawei announced a special event in Paris on March 27th. This one could be dedicated to the presentation of its new P20 range.
Huawei is obviously preparing for Mobile World Congress 2018, which will run from February 26 to March 1. But he might not introduce new smartphones at that event. Huawei introduced P10 during MWC last year and the company was expected to do the same in this year but later decided to delay it a few weeks. As Samsung is all set to reveal Galaxy S9 at MWC 2018, Huawei’s delay seems like a strategic turn to avoid having to compete with the S9’s launch.
Just like the predecessor P10’s lineup, the P11/P20 is expected to arrive in three variants – P11/P20, P11/P20 plus, and P11/P20 lite. It is still unclear about the sensors in each device. Some rumors say that it is going to be tri-cam this time around which allows up to 5x zoom without losing picture quality. We can also imagine another scenario: 3 devices are apparently expected in this range, it is possible that the manufacturer presents the Huawei P20 and P20 Plus MWC 2018. In which case, this event would be used to present the P20 Lite, version plus affordable from its latest high end. Here are some shots we received showing designs of the upcoming flagships from Huawei.
Other than the cameras, the P11/P20 will comes with the latest internal specifications such as their latest artificial intelligent Kirin 970 chipset.
A display of 18:9 display is highly likely because of its the newest tradition in the smartphone industry. This time Huawei might decide to use 2K LCD screen (perhaps a different resolution for the Plus variant just like the Mate 10 pro and Mate 10 line).
