Huawei is making its App Store Global:
Huawei could be one of the largest smartphone companies in the world, just after Samsung and Apple, but unlike its competitors, it lacked an app store available worldwide. This changes now as the Chinese company announced to launch its own AppGallery, available for download on all Huawei smartphones. The P20 and P20 Pro owners are fortunate enough to have it pre-installed.
AppGallery comes with 5 tabs: Featured, Category, Top, Administrator, and the last one is Me, where all user settings and application preferences are at.
Since Huawei is the largest smartphone manufacturer in China, many applications in the various categories are aimed at Asian markets such as Amap for navigation, WeChat for communication and QQMusic for entertainment. You can also find regular applications such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, but you may have to download them from the Google Play Store.
The owners of Huawei must allow downloads of third-party applications and access wap2.hispace.hicloud.com, where the application will begin to download automatically. The service can be deactivated through its Configuration menu in the Me tab or it could be uninstalled completely, but all the downloaded applications will remain in the phone.
